Further Information

The SSHRC Race, Gender and Diversity Initiative is a 3-year, $450,000 initiative “to support community-based and community-led research partnerships with postsecondary institutions that are grounded in the lived experience of underrepresented or disadvantaged groups and that analyze the causes and persistence of systemic racism and discrimination.”  We are hoping to encourage and strengthen UCalgary-based grant applications for this particular SSHRC opportunity by providing information and offering an opportunity for connecting and asking questions.

Note for researchers: In addition to the Event, makeCalgary and the O’Brien Institute are setting up a specific launching page to support researchers considering this SSHRC by offering researchers access to the information from the Networking Event at their own convenience. By acting as a one-stop-shopping page, the platform page will include brief information on the funding opportunity, access to presentations and discussion at the September 8 Event and the opportunity to participate in a regularly updated QandA Section.
